Sunscreen

Hi Everyone,

You know how passionate I am about protecting your face with sunscreen. The winter winds are almost gone (although they did try to stay around longer this week) and the sun will be getting stronger each day.

I've been testing out the Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock Lotion (phew, that's a mouthful) with SPF 110 and helioplex (that's the magic ingredient all the derm docs are raving about) and I have to say I'm loving it. It is lighter than you would expect for such a high SPF and it dries without a white cast.
Best of all it's available in your local drugstore and retails for under $11.00 for a 3 ounce tube.

  2. How is the smell of the Neutrogena Age Shield Face Sunblock? I live in Fla and have been depending on my mineral foundation to shield me, but sometimes I wonder if that is really doing the job. I have just never had any luck finding a sunblock for my face that didn't feel heavy, greasy and have that "sunblocky" smell. Thanks for your videos and blog :)

  3. Hi Evidentress,
I hope this is the correct way to reply to you (new to blogging). The Neutrogena has a slight smell. It is thicker than you are used to but I'm concerned that you only use mineral foundation and you are in Florida. I think you would love Prescriptives All Weather Friend with an SPF 40. You won't even feel it under your makeup. Only thing is its much more expensive than the Neutrogena at $26.50 and is only available on-line at prescriptives. com. Let me know what you think.

  4. Thanks for your reply (and concern :) While I do avoid the sun as much as possible, in Florida just sitting near a window can cause damage. I will give the Neutrogena a go and let you know how it works out. On a side note... I guess I'm a little behind the times -- I had no idea Prescriptives was "online only" these days. I was briefly on their website yesterday and was wondering why they were still sporting their '90s packaging. Again, thanks :)
